Photophobic Migraine contact lenses

Kings Walk Contact Lenses in Nottingham city centre specialises in photophobic migraine contact lenses.  Photophobic migraine symptoms can be debilitating for sufferers who struggle in bright light conditions.  From sunny days outside to bright LED or Fluorescent lights in the office, these normal light conditions can be unbearable for migraine sufferers.  Often sunglasses worn both outside and inside is the only relief, but cosmetically not ideal in a work environment.

New tinted contact lenses have been developed to reduce glare and bright lights and stop photophobic migraines.  These yearly replacement lenses are available in 20% tint for mild conditions, to 40% for severe symptoms.  These lenses can be worn for 12 hours per day and are very comfortable in dry air-conditioned environments.

To have migraine lenses fitted will involve one appointment.  Your eye will be measured with a Myah topographer and prescription checked.  On this appointment you will given insertion and removal lessons and shown how the look after the lenses.  Lenses normally take 3 weeks to arrive, but zero powered lenses are in stock to take away that day.

A pair of migraine lenses cost £175, which includes the fitting appointment.  On average cleaning solutions cost £12 per month (soaking solution, cleaner and saline)
