OK Lenses, Night Lenses and Ortho K lenses are all the same process that can correct your shortsighted vision while you sleep.  This overnight technology is designed to softly reshape the front surface of the eye, correcting the prescription giving perfect all day vision.  Night lenses are safe and completely reversible.  The best form of correction for sports as no lenses are required during the day.

Prescription range available for ortho k lenses is -0.75 to -5.00 only for shortsighted powers.

Night lenses acts as myopia management for 7 to 24 year olds with new data showing a slow down in short sighted change by 60 %. In 1 in 5 cases there was no myopic change.  This reduction in shortsightedness improves eye health in later life, reducing the chance of retinal detachments and macula issues.

Night lenses are a good option for younger wearers as the parents can monitor wear, help with insertion and removal and are only worn at home, so can help if a lens is lost.

To order Ortho k lenses an up to date sight test is required.  A free initial consultation is booked to assess eligibility.  Detailed eye scan measurements and spectacle prescription is forwarded to our manufacturer which takes 1 week to produce Night lenses.  Handling lessons are given on collection of the lenses and check 24 hours later.  Two further appointments are required on 1 week and 4 weeks.  On this appointment if vision is corrected, you will be registered to get lenses every six months.  Our monthly direct debit payment of £42.00 includes new lenses every six months, cleaning and soaking solutions, aftercare appointments and 2 spare lenses every year in case of any accidents.

Specialist equipment is required for ortho k lenses to give exact measurements.  Kings Walk Contact Lenses equipments uses a Medmont Topographer and a Topcon Myah to map the front surface of the eye.
